Hello! My name is Tom van Well, born in the Netherlands and based in Portugal since 2020. The last years I’ve been exploring different conventional building techniques and a variety of more ecological ways of building. I had and have the great privilege of learning with amazing teachers and working with masters of their crafts. I’m captivated by clay, its shape-shifting abilities, different arrangements diversity in color or simply its response to water. Straightforward, self-aware, healthy, honest but most of all adaptable, are attributes I not only contribute to clay but virtues I strive for myself. Working with me you can expect dedication, a passionate approach and good communication. I work to the best of my ability, creating a unique project, in accordance with the land. I offer to share my work in the form of private builds, workshops or consultations.
